The dermal fillers that we use are made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is found in the skin and connective tissue. It is responsible for retaining water to keep your tissues plump and well hydrated. It also plays an important role in collagen production and wound healing.

Symptoms may include pain, discoloration (pallor), mottling, pustules, fishnet pattern rash, or coldness in the affected area, and in severe cases, tissue death (necrosis). If you notice any of these signs it is important to contact the clinic immediately as this will need to be assessed and possibly dissolved.

Treatment usually involves administration of the hylauronic acid enzyme called hyaluronidase, which breaks down and dissolves HA filler.

We utilize a wide range of brands to deliver the best results. Some of our favourites are Dysport, Letybo, Stylage, & Restylane.

Causes can include dermal filler in an artery or external compression of a blood vessel.

We only use hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. This is because hyaluronic acid is produced by your body, therefore it is the safest option as there is a very low chance of a reaction occurring. Hyaluronic acid can also be dissolved if the result does not meet expectations, or if there is an issue with the placement of the fillers.
