Our lipodissolve uses phosphatidylcholine (PTC) as the primary substance that destroys fat cells in the targeted area. PTC is a naturally occurring substance found in the body, however the PTC used in lipodissolve is derived from soy beans, so you should not have the treatment if you have a soy allergy.
PTC is injected with very fine needles directly into the unwanted fat deposits. The fat is broken down into a soluble form and removed by normal liver and kidney function. The inflammatory process (swelling) that PTC triggers is also responsible for creating a tightening effect in addition to the fat loss.
Your practitioner will assess the area of concern and complete a thorough consultation. Area to be treated is cleaned and marked.
The treatment area can be numbed on request with ice or topical anaesthetic. The PTC solution contains a local anaesthetic for minimal discomfort.
Depending on the size of the area, a number of injections (5-30) are made with a very fine needle. The injecting process only takes 15-30 minutes.
Submental fat is the small pocket of fat under the chin. It's an effective way to slim the face and improve your profile.
